Smokefire Locking Up

Had it happen on 2 consecutive cooks now. Everything locks up on the Smokefire and it stops working and obviously the temp drops. Can't shut it down via app or control unit. Seems to be retrying to connect to wi-fi unsuccessfully. (I know its not my router as everything else stays connected). As I can't do anything via the panel or app. I have to switch it off at the mains without going to shutdown mode.

I assume it is the Control unit?

Anybody else have this happen and any resolution to the problem?

Never have experienced this. However, you might consider uninstalling and reinstalling the firmware, as it sounds like it either it, or less likely the software has gotten corrupted. Instructions are available on the web and also on the Weber site.

Alternatively, I suggest you call or go on-line to Weber support. They have always responded almost immediately to me.

I have resurrected an old ticket with Weber UK for a different problem and see what they say, will have a look at reinstalling the app, dependant on what they say.
