EX6 was fine for a while, Then a month ago the fan failed and melted.
Replaced with new fan, same thing.
Weber sent new Gen F auger assembly and a fan. Same results.

Note it is on the latest software, and when it runs now it doesn't really heat up. Set to 225 and never went over 60 but somehow the fan melted. Also produces a ton of smoke and can see hot ash coming out of the bottom. It's strange, seems to be fine regarding auger, pellets, etc. Weber has been great so far and waiting to hear back. Love the grill just want to use it.

Is the fan blowing the wrong way? Wired or installed backwards? That seems really strange and a bit concerning.

I have heard of the wires getting reversed and fans blowing the wrong way and creating similar symptoms. I did not hear of a definitive resolution of the problem.

Never heard that. The plugs are only fitting one way.

Fan issue, Weber sent a new one and it resolved.

Side note directions are lacking but if you ever replace label should point up so you do not see it once installed.

Good support from Weber, impressed.
