Do people think the top on the Weber Slate Version is the same as the Carbon Steel version Full Griddle insert for the Weber Genesis or has the Slate version gone through a further treatment to make it rust resistant?
There is also a New Pellet Grill from Weber called the Searwood due for release early next year/spring. So maybe a reason to clear stock before then also?
Have you checked to see if the fingerguard is still installed at the bottom of the hooper, where the pellets drop down to the augur?
If it is still there remove it and reattach the screws only, pellets can get jammed up in there and cause irregular pellet feed to the burn pot, and extra smoke...
Download the Weber App from the Apple or Google Play store depending on your phone. Register the Smokefire in the app. Switch Smokefire on, place phone next to the controller and let it update, before starting a cook.
Weber pellets work really well, other pellets I've found that do are...
I bought my Smokefire in March 2020 in the UK, I'm sure it would be classed as a Gen 1 as I had to replace the Augur and fit the Pellet Slide to the Hopper.
Agree with the things you've said about problems, wouldn't surprise me if it just needs a good clean as well as fat and ash in the bottom...
I bought a Genesis 335S that came with the Crafted Grates, so over the past year have been buying the accessories and have bought the frame for my original Gen 1 Smokefire, just waiting for the actual Crafted Grill Grates for the Smokefire to be a more affordable price here in the UK, but still...
Don't know if many UK Smokefire owners on here but a good deal at Riverside at moment on the Shelves
Smokefire EX4 Front Table £20 Side Table £30 or EX6 Front Table £60 @ Riverside Garden Centre
Can't believe I've picked up a front and side on for £50 for my EX4, just got to fit them on now...
Did a pork tenderloin fillet on the Weber Smokefire tonight for the first time, what a great piece of meat to cook with.
Cooked for 50 minutes at 240F pulled it off the grill at 145F IT and rested for 10 minutes. Used warm honey mixed with apple juice as the binder with a light dusting of Meat...
Can't say I noticed any difference in final taste between the Gas and Smokefire, but definitely prefer using a Sourdough base for the pizza.
Are you keeping a glazed or plain cordierite GBS stone, as having used both types found the glazed cooks a far better base than the plain one
I know it's not a Smokefire related question, but hoping post will be allowed, as wondering if anyone owns one of these or similar.
Bought one from Amazon US site as clearing the bottom of the garden and levelling it and for want of something better to do with the space, going to build a basic...
Have to say after grilling 4 different pizzas on the Genesis and Smokefire now this Crafted Glazed Pizza stone cooks an excellent pizza, much better than the cordierite stoes I have been battling with the last 2 years.
On both machines I preheat the machine to 450F and once reached leave it for...
Unfortunately not these are the GBS grates originally supplied with my EX4 are a 50/50 split, so the GBS accessory fits in the middle of the Grill
These are the new crafted frame and grate set up for the EX4 (have the frame kit already) but the grates cost around equivalent of $200 here in...
